c.1937 Catalog Blenko Glass Includes Williamsburg All Pieces Have Prices This is a pretty early Blenko catalog from the famous West Virginia glass maker, with some pieces not seen in our early 40 s catalogs. Many thanks to the current president of the Blenko Collectors Society for her information about Blenko s not having obtained the contract to produce Williamsburg reproductions until 1936. We are pleased to list these two small footed dishes. They match but one is about 5 inches tall and the other is about 4 inches. I do believe that they are flint. They ring beautifully. This Argus or Early Thumbprint pattern is often attributed to Bakewell, Pears but I find no documentation that this form was in their catalogs. The pattern was later copied by a number of other manufacturers. These pieces are from the Duff and Molly Allen Collection and still have their stickers affixed. Condition is excellent with only very minor pattern roughness felt with fingertips. We fully expect that viewers will have questions and we promise to address them promptly. We have provided a link to show postage in the U S; we will give quotes for international bidders. We will NOT falsify customs documents. Seller will make contact within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Payment must be received within 10 days of the end of the auction. WE ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS, BANK CHECKS, MONEY AND PAYPAL. WE DO NOT ACCEPT OTHER FORMS OF CREDIT PAYMENT.
