Heavy Early Harding Black Studio Pottery Ashtray 1956
This very heavy ashtray bowl has very shiny raindrop red and blue interior glaze and a textured matte glaze exterior. It has very thick walls that are so characteristic of Harding s early work. This piece measures 7 and 3/4 inches wide and 2 and 1/4 inches tall. It is incised Harding Black 1956 on the bottom as shown in the pictures. This ashtray is in excellent condition and appears unused. There are no cracks, chips, or flakes. Nice glaze, very clean. No glaze misses.
